The history of air jordan Sneakers.

The history of Nike Air Jordans is deeply intertwined with the story of Michael Jordan, one of the greatest basketball players of all time. Here's an overview of the key moments and developments in the evolution of Air Jordans.

(1984): Nike signed Michael Jordan, then a rookie with the Chicago Bulls, to an endorsement deal. This partnership led to the creation of the Air Jordan brand, with the first signature shoe, the Air Jordan 1, debuting in 1985.

(1985): Designed by Peter Moore, the Air Jordan 1 revolutionized the sneaker industry with its bold design and use of the Nike Air technology. Despite being initially banned by the NBA for violating uniform regulations, Jordan continued to wear them, leading to widespread attention and eventually becoming a cultural phenomenon.

(1986-1993): Over the years, Nike released subsequent iterations of the Air Jordans, each with its own unique design and technological advancements. Among the most notable models during this period were the Air Jordan II, III, IV, V, and VI.

(1993-1998): Jordan announced his retirement from basketball in 1993 but returned in 1995 to rejoin the Bulls. During this period, Nike released Air Jordans such as the XI, XII, and XIII, which continued to dominate the sneaker market.

(1999-Present): Jordan retired for the second time in 1999 but continued to be heavily involved with the Air Jordan brand. Nike continued to release new models and retro versions of classic Air Jordans, maintaining their popularity among sneakerheads and basketball fans alike.

To this day Air Jordan is the most sought out brand in the world behind Nike.

Even after Michael Jordan's retirement from basketball, the Air Jordan brand remains incredibly popular and influential. New generations of athletes, musicians, and cultural figures continue to embrace Air Jordans, ensuring their legacy endures.

Jordan also collaborates with many famous people and famous brands from.

Nike frequently releases limited edition Air Jordans and collaborates with artists, fashion designers, and other brands to create unique and highly sought-after versions of the sneakers one of the best and my personal favorite is the travis scott collab shown below.

The Shoes that have the most Controversies.

One of the most controversial shoes to this date is the "banned" Air jordan 1, Back in the golden era of the NBA, players were only allowed to wear shoes of a particular color. The black and red Air Jordan 1s did not quite fit with the NBA’s uniform restrictions, so for every game that MJ wore them, he was fined 5k Nike footed the bill for him, and the ‘Banned’ Air Jordan 1 was born. Sometimes any publicity is good, such was the case for Nike with the Air Jordan 1 ‘Banned’.

This is one of the reasons that the Air jordan brand is as large as it is today.

Another shoe that caused a major social media controversy

Is the Nike Alpha Fly The Nike Alpha Fly was worn by marathoner Eliud Kipchoge as he became the first man to run a sub-2-hour marathon back in October of 2019. Scientists claimed that the Nike Alpha Fly gave Kipchoge an unfair advantage. Some called it “technological doping.” the shoe was banned and the rule was changed so no shoe can no longer have more than one carbon fiber plate and that all midsoles must be under 40 mm.

The reason that the sneaker was made

The first sneakers were made in the late 18th century, primarily for the purpose of indoor sporting activities such as croquet and tennis. They were made of a simple rubber sole and canvas upper. The term "sneakers" originated because the rubber soles allowed people to walk quietly and "sneak" around without making noise. These early sneakers provided better traction and comfort compared to traditional leather shoes, making them ideal for sports. As the popularity of sports increased, so did the demand for sneakers, leading to further innovations and advancements in shoe design.

3) Comfort: Sneakers often feature cushioned insoles, breathable materials, and ergonomic designs, ensuring comfort for prolonged wear, whether for exercise or casual use.

Those are some of the better features of sneakers, Overall sneakers fulfill a range of functional and aesthetic purposes, making them a popular and essential item in many people's wardrobes.

Best methods Ways to clean your sneakers

The way you clean your shoes is dependent on the material and the age of the shoe for example if a old shoe has very soft leather u dont want to use a hard chemical or hard way of brushing but if a new shoe has a medium to hard suede u can want to use a certain light chemical and light to medium way of brushing the area that is dirty.

Some methods are listed below:

 1) Remove shoelaces: Take out the shoelaces and wash them separately either by hand or in the washing machine with a gentle detergent.

2) Remove loose dirt: Use a soft brush or cloth to remove any loose dirt or debris from the surface of the sneakers. This step helps prevent scratching while cleaning.

3) Spot clean: For small stains or areas of dirt buildup, use a mild soap or detergent mixed with water and a soft brush or cloth to gently scrub the affected areas. Avoid using harsh chemicals or bleach as they can damage the material.

4) Clean the soles: For the soles of the sneakers, you can use a mixture of water and mild detergent along with a stiff brush to scrub away dirt and grime. Pay special attention to the grooves and crevices where dirt tends to accumulate.

5) Obviously rinse the shoes with water you don't want the soap to stay on your shoes so rinse thoroughly.

6) Dry Stuff the shoes with paper towels or newspaper to help them retain their shape and absorb excess moisture. Avoid using direct heat sources like a hairdryer or radiator, as they can damage certain materials. Instead, let the sneakers air dry in a well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight.

Finally after you laces are dry you can lace your shoes whatever way u want depending on the shoe lose lace, bar lace, normal, patterned or even custom.

For specific materials like suede, leather, or mesh, you may need to use specialized cleaners or techniques. Always check the manufacturer's instructions or recommendations for cleaning to avoid damaging your sneakers. Additionally, investing in a quality shoe cleaning kit can make the process easier and more effective.

Some more interesting sneakers of our time.

This is one of the examples of a special type of sneaker one of the dead giveaways is that if you are a sneaker head you know that this is a collaboration sneaker meaning that this sneaker was made with another company and Nike dunk and now not all of the collaborations are that much different or special but this one is very different.

1) The materials on this shoe are very different from a normal Nike dunk the canvas material peels when you cut or slice it and it come off and will not be put back on so be aware once its off it reveals a orange leather

2) the laces are a different style of lace that is not a standard dunk lace, the lace itself is a bar style lace which is a style of lace you can do on the shoe and also with the lace itself meaning there is little bars on the lace if you look you can pick them out.

Some other special sneakers are listed below

These are the sandy boedeker dunks and they are a very unique shoe not only because of the colors but because of the facts that the shoe is cut into three pieces and assembled back together with see through material that to me is a very unique shoe concept.

These are the flea market dunks with Swarovski crystals, this shoe is special not only for its very crazy price but also that the whole shoe is covered in crystals and has laces that are special to this shoe and are very sparkly there are two versions of this shoe a white one and a dark green one.

The Era's of sneakers

The era of sneakers, also known as the sneaker culture, has evolved from functional athletic footwear to a global fashion phenomenon. What began as simple canvas or rubber-soled shoes primarily designed for sports like basketball or tennis has transformed into a multi-billion dollar industry with a vast array of styles, brands, and collaborations.

Sneakers have become a significant part of streetwear fashion, influencing trends across music, art, and popular culture. They're not just shoes anymore; they're a form of self-expression, a status symbol, and even a collector's item for enthusiasts known as "sneakerheads."

Key moments in the evolution of sneaker culture include the introduction of iconic models like the Nike Air Jordan series in the 1980s, which blurred the lines between sports and style. The rise of hip-hop in the 1990s further propelled sneaker culture into the mainstream, with artists like Run-D.M.C. famously endorsing Adidas.

In the 2000s, limited edition releases and collaborations between sneaker brands and designers, musicians, athletes, and artists became increasingly common, driving hype and demand to unprecedented levels. Sneaker resale markets also emerged, with platforms like StockX and GOAT facilitating transactions for coveted and rare releases.

Today, sneaker culture continues to thrive with new releases generating buzz and long waiting lines, while established brands like Nike, Adidas, and Puma compete alongside up-and-coming labels and designers. Sustainability and ethical production practices are also gaining importance within the industry as consumers become more conscious of their purchasing decisions.

Overall, the era of sneakers represents more than just footwear; it's a cultural movement that reflects the intersection of sport, fashion, and self-expression in contemporary society.

The reason that I wanted to make a shoe blog

It all started when my brother had me help him refurbish the shoes to be resold on market I was 11 and he was 18 he showed me how to get into the shoe business then after I helped him I continued to help him and me and him started to work together we would look all over the internet and try and find shoes of value for a good price and then buy them and clean them up and resell them for a better price to make profit so in that time I learned how to tell fakes to reals and I learned a lot about shoes in the process and I still keep up with all of the latest with the shoe world and even though my brother moved and we no longer re sell the shoes I still wanna put all I learned into a blog and share what I know.
